The tensions of an army draw close even this soon, with some very martial releases being explored. Ah Charles, you wanted a school and founded an army instead. There is irony in that, don't you think? Mutant High with its very first ROTC program.

Where will the decisions go, I wonder? Demerits, loss of priviliages, nights in the Box between beatings with a rubber hose? So many possibilities. Still, in a world of telepaths, it would be intriguing to see a mind to mind solution: taste the pain of your victim.

Such is life. Still, this weekend should be a productive one in the lab. We are almost ready for an inital test.

I hope you are speaking hypothetically and are not seriously entertaining the idea, Mr. Essex. I have not had the opportunity to sit down and formally welcome you over a cuppa. Being a disginguished gentleman, I'm sure you can find the time, since settling in at the Manor.

What other good uses do you forsee with telepaths in your research, sir?

Actually, specific mutation doesn't have any point in my research. I rather enjoy musing about the possibilities of a transhuman world, and that which will come with it. A hobby, so to speak. Steps towards the Omega Point.

You do have to admit, being able to feel the pain of the person you have harmed seems far more effective a deterrent than incarceration in an environment designed to foster future criminal behaviour.

As for the tea, I am rather involved in a test this weekend, and will be unavailable. Perhaps later on this week?
